My group is composed of Kenneth, Robert, Amanda and myself. We decided that our topic would be “Building a Successful Business”, but the twist is that we will each look at a different aspect of this subject from different businesses point of view. Kenneth will look at the marketing side of successful businesses from an artist point of view, while Robert will look at the balance of supply v/s demand from an entrepreneur’s point of view. Amanda is focusing on structure from a major corporation’s point of view and I am looking into customer service from an online business point of view.
I’m excited about the layout of our project. It allows us to cover many different views on successful business, while still allowing each person to focus on the areas that they appreciate the most. Since I hope to have my own online business one day, staying in the focus is very beneficial to me. Hopefully I’ll be able to talk with some online business owners and learn from their experiences some things to do or not do!
My group is made up of felicia, jazz, and me. we are doing a presentation on oprah how she became an successful business woman. my part is focus more on her past and who she was before she became her.
As of right now our group is really debating on the source topic. Towards the begining we were all leaning towards the piracy act, dicusing the pro's and con's. It seems to be a good subject, were just thinking we should maybe find somthing a little more wide spread. Im thinking we will each take a certain subject and expand on it, giving each person a little bit of presentation time.
My group is composed of Derrick, Jen, and Jay and myself and we are doing our project on transitioning from the military into the civilian world, and how to use your military experience to benifit your professional development. We have done a few interveiws to get the ball rolling which included and interveiw with one of the advisors in carear services who specializes in transitioning from the military to civilian life. I am going to focus on how my expereince in the military will help me in the biomed world and some of the services that the military offers.
My group consist of Bernice, Felicia, and myself. we are doing our group project on the succes of Oprah Winfrey past, present, and future. My focus in the project is the future. What upcoming projects she may have, what she plans to accomplish in the future. Even though we do not know her personally; I would also like to focus on the impact someone like Oprah would have on the upcoming female generation and for that I will probably interview a couple of teenage girls and young adults.
I will be working with Kenneth, Robert, and Megan. The topic will be "Building a Successful Business", my topic is structure from a major business point of view. I am having fun finding out what it takes to start and grow into a major business. There is a lot to me that seems like common sense. At the same time there is a lot of info that is very good to learn. I hope that my part of the paper turns out well.
My group consists of Mic, Kelly, Mike, and I. We are going to do our group presentation on piracy of movies, music, games, and software. We will give information on the losses companies suffer from when people illegally download their product instead of buying it. We will also discuss what these companies are doing to stop the illegal download of there product. Each group member will choose one of the categories and research how it has affected the industry.
My group for the group project consists of J, Derek, Bruce, and myself. We are focusing our project on transitioning from military to civilian life. We intend to take a look at the steps necessary to make the transition as smooth as possible as well as ways to help military members (and their spouses/children) ease into civilian life/workforces. We are each going to take care of one main part of our presentation as well as contributing in whatever way possible to the research of the other participants. My primary focus in the project is to research the transition from the view of the military spouse and family and ways to ensure that the transition does not impede the success of the family members. I am planning to write about the different services available to family members that can help with planning for transitions to different workforces, schools, and relocation issues that affect the family members of service (wo)men who are leaving the military.
This evening, Bruce and I interviewed Mrs. Sherry Determan who worked with the Transition Assistance Program in the military support system for fifteen years and now works as a career services counselor at ECPI. She was full of insightful advice and information. I will use much of the information we got from her to write my part of the project.
We will be presenting our project on the last night of class, Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Until then, we will be working individually with a meeting to pool our notes and ideas and practice the presentation.
My group is doing the "Building a Successful Business" my role in the project is discussing how to do marketing in the music business. But I will also give knowledge on how it relates to all businesses. I think marketing is an important part of any business so I am glad that I will be giving some knowledge in the form of something I do in my part time.
My part in our group project is to take control of the movie part of piracy. Its gonna be tough though just because its hard to find the good side of pirating movies.

My group is Mi J,Derek,Bruce,and ms Jen. we are doing on military transistion. since we are all sme's (subject matter experts) it will be fairly easy.
Well in the group I'm in our group project is going to be on piracy. About how it has affected society, in a few different areas. The areas will most likely be in music, movies, computer software and probaly in games also. Though this hasn't been fully decided or who is doing what.
Will be asking next week who is doing which topic.
