Hello my name is Amanda Mowrey. I am currently in the United States Navy. I am a Second Class Petty Officer. I have been in the military for about 4 years. I will be getting out in a few months and I will be attending school full time. The military is probably the best thing that I have done in my life so far. I could have gone to college straight out of high school but I would have gone to school with my high school friends…which equals trouble. I plan on getting a part time job, working in the network security field. I really enjoy working with computers.

Hi, I’m Megan Boone. I’m a 23 year old Leo, coming from a family of three, all girls. I am the oldest out of the three of us and my sisters are 16 year old twins. Twins run heavy in my family; my mother is a twin and I have two sets of cousins that are twins. I was born and raised in Suffolk, VA. I moved to Norfolk when I was 20, right after graduation, and I just recently moved to Virginia Beach within the last month.
I am currently working on my 2nd degree in Computer Science. I graduated in 2004 from ITT with an AS in CADD (Computer Aided Drafting & Design). Though I have this degree, my desire is to work as a web developer/programmer…so this is why I am back in school working on my Simulation & Game Programming degree. I’m excited and looking forward to all that I’ll be learning in this program. After graduation I plan to move to Savannah, GA to continue my education and career goal of being self employed.
Wah Gwan!! My name is Walter Jerel Samuels. I was born December 3 1979 in St. Catherine Jamaica in the town of Linstead. I moved to Canarsie which is in Brooklyn NY December 14 1992. From there I have lived in various places, and done many different things. The craziest of them all is joining the military. I am an instructor at Dam Neck which is in VA Beach, VA. WHY?????? That is a question I found myself asking a lot of restless nights. But now it all seems a little bit clearer.
My name is Jasmine but my friends and family call me Jazz. I am originally from Atlanta Ga. Born April 26, 1982 to Geneva Taylor and Joseph Minter. I have one older sibling Jenea and three younger siblings Jenise, Chris, and Chanel. I am the proud aunt of two nieces Destini and Paris; and one nephew Jordan.
I graduated in 2000 from Bayside Senior High School after that I attempted to go to college. I enrolled at Tidewater Community College in the General Education program. At the time I was 18 yrs old and I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life. I didn’t want to continue going to school not knowing what I was going for so I dropped out.
At one point I thought I wanted to be a beautician; so I enrolled into beauty school. This was something that I enjoyed doing, so I thought it would be easy. I worked in a beauty parlor for about four months. Soon after I quit that once I learned how much work and customer service the work entailed; and there was more to doing hair that just knowing how to curl or do roller sets.
My name is Kelly Jones and I’m 25 years of age currently attending ecpi college of technology. I enjoy being active in sports and my family. I have a few hobbies including surfing, or just going to the beach, playing soccer, and I definitely love to sit around the house watching the football games during football season. I was born and raised in Virginia Beach and love it. I hope someday in the future to have a couple of kids and maybe wives, ha just kidding about the wives part, to raise and love. My career goals include getting into a big corporation making loads of money and having full benefits. When into my career I don’t plan on just being a worker bee I plan on one day running or possibly starting my own, then I can sleep in and make my own hours. But for now I’m just taking it day by day and can’t wait to get out of the service industry.
Hello my name is Anthony Henderson and I am 25 years old. I was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina. I have lived in Virginia for four years. I first moved to Norfolk to attend college to become a Graphic Artist. I now have a job for a rent to own company fixing HP, Compaq ,Acer , Emachine , and Dell computers. I have abtained my Associates Degree in Graphic Design for another technical college but I am still looking to get a Bachlors Degree in Information Systems. I now live in Virginia Beach and love it! I am close to the beach and love riding bikes and laying out, soaking in the sun. I also enjoy playing video games on the PC and other game consoles.
Wus up everybody my name is Kenneth and I am a music producer in the Hampton Roads region. I am also am a manager of some of the best talent that Virginia has to offer. My entertainment company that I work for is the largest independent label with artists on the south side and peninsula. As a producer and a manager there is a lot of work and many hats to wear.
There is a lot of work involved from going out of town and also event managing as well. I feel there is a lot of work to create new avenues for independent artists especially in the media and mobile arenas. I build a lot of motivation from the powerful people that work in business and management. It feels great to motivate and create opportunities for the next generation of musicians and artists in the Hampton Roads region.
Hello my name is Berniece Culley I am 28 years of age. I am an single mother of one. I enjoy reading and meeting new people. I decided to attend school to help better my future. I decided to attend ECPI because it seems like a school to help me get into the business world.
I don’t have to much to say. I was in the army for six years. After leaving there I went into child care I have been in that field for three years . I love working with kids and decided that doing something different will help my keep up with the world around me.
My name is Bruce Bartlett, I am 26 years old and currently serving in the navy where I work as a calibration technician aboard the USS Enterprise which is currently in the shipyards. I am going to ECPI to pursue an Associates degree in biomedical technology. I’ve been to college before I joined the Navy at two different schools University of South Carolina-Spartanburg and also Spartanburg Technical College. I enjoy doing calibration and working with electronics in the Navy and I also enjoy personal interaction and customer relations. I figured that Biomedical Technology would give me the best of both worlds in the fact that I will be working directly with patients and other healthcare professionals while working on electronics. I would consider myself as very active person. I enjoy working out and playing any sport that I can get my hands on. I am really looking forward to my time at ECPI and hope that it lives up to my expectations.

Hello, this is Michael Zink. I'm a 28 Aries, male that was born in Pennsylvania. I've just started school at ECPI Virginia Beach campus. Just started the Network and Security Management course today, which will be five weeks long. As I haven't gone to school before, this should be very interesting.
Well this is my first attempt at a blog, and I despise writing. So I will try to write on this blog. Though it will be tough, as I'm used to keeping my thoughts in my head and guarded. Also, most of how I think is usually to blunt, straightforward, and unfiltered. Well that's all I can think of to say so I guess I'll write more later.

Hello, everyone! As I mentioned earlier this evening during my introduction, my name is Jennifer Wingard, but most people call me Jen or Red. I’m a 27 year-old stay at home mom with four kids who range in age from 6 years to almost 2 years. Although my family is my primary focus (mostly due to the fact that they take up almost every second of my time) , I have a lot of other responsibilities and interests as well. I enjoy a bit of gardening, cooking, and I love to read. I can generally be found studying something or other in any free moment that I'm not involved with a family activity.
I’ve always had a keen interest in writing, and still dream of writing the “Great American Novel”, however, a couple of years ago during a blogging frenzy, I stumbled upon web design quite by accident and the writing dream has since been moved to second place. I do still try to write on occasion, but most of my spare time has been eaten up with my obsession for poring over books on web design and trying to make sense of them.
I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to come to college and learn about web design and get a degree. This new experience will quite probably be more like a vacation for me than anything else. I’m really looking forward to all that I’ll learn here at school, but also, I'm glad for the chance to do some networking while fulfilling a high-priority personal goal of getting a bachelor's degree.
My name is Mik, im twenty two years young, and this is my first day attending college. The schedule is new, the hours are long and ive been up since three thirty this morning. So far im holding up pretty well, and at this moment im ancious to get home. The class seems interesting and I hope the next class will be the same. Im sure tomorrow ill be in for a treat ill just half to get some sleep during work tomorrow.
Hi, my name is Felicia. I was born and raised in Hampton, VA where I reside. I am the youngest of six children consisting of three brothers and two sisters. I also have a grand total of twelve nieces and nephews consisting of six nieces and six nephews. I am here at ECPI to obtain not just a degree or job but, a career in Network Security. There are many reasons why I chose to continue my education. First, I wanted to better myself mentally and career wise. Second, I realize that by continuing my education I may not only encourage/or convince my nieces and nephews to do so but also my peers and anyone else who has not taken the steps to do the same as of yet. Last, I chose to continue school to find a career making more money than I am currently making and set a foundation for my future as well as my future children.

my name is robert, i'm 35 and have been in the military for 16 years. i come from a family of two. my brother is 5 years younger and has a family of 2 girls and 1 boy. parents live in ohio, as does my brother and his family. i have lived in virginia for 11 years. the military brought me here from germany. during my time on active duty i spent 3 years over in iraq. i am trying to get another year long deployment if i can. i enjoy electronics and have since i was about 7 years old. any kind of hands on work is good with me. sitting behind a desk to me is just a little to boring, i like being in the action and getting things done.
